Brief summary of role:
Responsible for growing advertising revenues outside of Mainland China. Your role will require you to identify and prospect potential online advertisers, develop and cultivate relationships with clients. You will provide innovative and creative media solutions for clients with your winning proposals. In order to effectively present FTChinese.com to potential clients, you will offer clients a multiplatform advertising package of online, e-mail, offline, and social media programs. You will research and have a vast network to tap on, gaining first-hand knowledge of future commercial events in the Mainland China, as well as in HK. In addition to maintaining existing profits, you will be responsible for growing revenues through acquiring new business, contract negotiation and innovative business package.

In this role you’ll:
-Meeting with and establishing relationships amongst all of the online advertising decision makers and influencers at prospective clients and their advertising agencies
-The timely follow up on these opportunities through the delivery of relevant advertising proposals that demonstrate the benefits of advertising on FTChinese.com and then securing advertising contracts from these prospects
-Working with the mainland sales team to develop the database of prospective client and advertising agency decision makers, to create a comprehensive database of all the individuals that FTChinese.com needs to be communicating with. Then working with the sales support team to ensure that this is maintained and updated on an ongoing basis.
-Working with the mainland sales team and sales support team to collect market intelligence and understanding of the needs of our advertisers and sharing this with the rest of the FTChinese.com management team. -Particularly with regards to the types of audiences that are being targeted, prices that are being paid, research that is being used and ad units or packages that are proving popular.
-Coordinating queries from the global sales team and work with them and the sales support team in the mainland China to get bookings from potential clients from global markets.
-Attending weekly advertising sales call and providing booking and BUD reports to president of FTChinese.com as well as the mainland sales director that gives detail as to existing and prospective business. Additionally, provide detailed forecast and projection reports as required.
-Participating in the sale of advertising opportunities in other associated Financial Times products in China, as and when required.

Essential
-You should demonstrate a very strong knowledge of advertisement sales and possess 3-5 years background in selling online advertising sales.
-You will be a skilled negotiator who is target-driven and pumped for success.
-You have demonstrable experience of developing new business.
-Good business level of Putonghua, Cantonese and English.
-Great interpersonal communication skills
You are able to understand business issues and spot potential opportunities.

Desirable
-You have a natural interest in technology/gadgets and keeps abreast with the latest.
-Great planning & organization skills
-Good knowledge of global advertising market
-Experiences of working with a global sales team, especially with offices in other parts of the world
-Experiences of working with a mainland-based sales team/office
