BUSINESS OVERVIEW

The Issuer Services business delivers bespoke capital market transaction services to a wide variety of clients including banks, corporations, lawyers and governments around the world. Specific transaction services are delivered in connection with Corporate Debt, Restructuring, Structured Finance, M&A, Project Finance and Depositary Receipts transactions.

 

Citi’s Agency and Trust is a leading global provider of corporate trust and capital markets services.

  • Citi offers a variety of agency and fiduciary services to support the full spectrum of capital market transactions 
  • Employs over 500 staff globally with primary offices in London, New York, California, Mexico City, Hong Kong, Singapore and Seoul
  • Has dedicated operations, documentation, and sales/relationship management staff in a number of key locations 
  • Maintains direct electronic links with all major markets and clearing systems 
  • Supports assets under custody of approximately $5 trillion in debt and equity 
  • Services offered to more than 2,800 corporate, sovereign and SPV clients around the globe

RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Target key intermediaries and prospects to develop strong pipeline and source new mandates for Issuer Services 
  • Position Citi to win Issuer Services mandates onshore in China by being fully conversant with Issuer Services product characteristics. Support regional team in relation to cross border transactions as appropriate. 
  • Maintain dialogue with existing clients and intermediaries in China at all levels of seniority from working level to C-suite contacts 
  • Be a first point of contact for existing Chinese clients and connect with Issuer Services hubs to help resolve key issues 
  • Work with clients and their advisors to understand deal structures,  prepare proposals and agree pricing for onshore deals 
  • Act as key partner and trusted advisor to clients and external intermediaries in relation to local market regulations that may impact Issuer Services transactions 
  • Work with regional hub to seek approvals, and ensure adequate execution and implementation of transactions prior to closing 
  • Work with team to ensure that deal structures are well understood and operationally viable 
  • Act as first line of defense to ensure that mandates won on are within target market and do not present signiticant franchise risk to Citi 
  • Build strong internal network with different product partners, coverage team and support functions such as operations, risk, legal and compliance both in China and in key locations HK, Singapore, London and NY hubs
KEY REQUIREMENTS
  • Strong Sales Experience and existing intermediary network in China is a distinct advantage 
  • Solid understanding of capital market or Investor or Banking industries 
  • Experience in team work as well as Individual Contributor 
  • 3-5 years’ experience in a corporate trust or similar sales role would be an advantage 
  • Highly motivated self starter, resourceful, able to perform well under stressful conditions, flexible,  team worker 
  • Experience in building and maintaining strong relationships at varying levels of seniority is critical 
  • Strong communication and presentation skills 
  • Excellent PC skills with specific emphasis on presentation and written client materials. 
  • Fluent in English and Mandarin 
  • Confident / competent client management skills are essential. 
  • Ability to understand complex Capital Markets deal structures and build creative solutions for clients 
  • Demonstrated ability to build internal and external client networks
 

ICG - TTS Product—Liquidity Product Commercialization Manager (流动性管理产品推广经理)

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Manage Foreign Currency liquidity management business and respective product P&L in China, includes domestic and cross border initiatives, contributes directly to product revenues, transaction volume goal and customer acquisition 
  • Develop strategic commercialization and product plan and capability 
  • Manage product approval program and process map 
  • Lead joint effort across Sales and Coverage for delivering the product solutions and value proposition 
  • Analyze product performance, and understand market trend, competition environment 
  • Gain an understanding of the regulatory landscape and business impact 
  • Business promotion by conducting revenue initiatives and innovation initiatives 
  • Focus on product commercialization and pipeline management 
  • Work closely with various business partners, and communicate effectively to ensure timely response to client 
  • requests and business opportunities 
  • Assist in achieving satisfactory rating on all audits 
  • Enhance marketing collateral and provide adequate training to counterparties
KEY REQUIREMENTS
  • University degree or above with minimum 8 years of related banking experience 
  • Experience in product management, preferably with good business development skills 
  • Sound knowledge in cash products, practices and regulations 
  • Costomer focused and able to operate at all levels 
  • Strong leadership skills and management discipline 
  • Highly motivated, able to work under pressure 
  • Willing to travel frequently 
  • High Integrity, quick learner, and pay attention to details 
  • Good communication, presentation, negotiation and interpersonal skills 
  • Fluent command of written and spoken English and Chinese
